Worth a thousand words... a photoblog.

Reason for my lack of updates...

Hey everyone, so the reason I haven't been updating my site a lot lately is because I've been working on another project for a long time: my new Tumblr site, "Worth a thousand words: a photoblog." A lot has changed since I last updated, starting with the fact that I now own an iPhone. I didn't mention it on my site because I felt that I'd be judged for calling iPhone users smug idiots. Boy was I wrong! People who hate iPhones just can't afford one. I was also afraid that my photography wouldn't be understood and fully appreciated for what it is: art. All of that changed when I went on a birthrite to Israel and found myself. I saw so many amazing things and met so many amazing people that I wanted to document it somehow. Then I read about this thing called "Project 365" that encouraged people to take a daily photo and share it with everyone. So I've posted them here for everyone to appreciate.

I've shut down my old site and won't be bringing it back, so don't ask. Also, flames and trolls will be blocked from emailing me, so please don't try. If you can't say anything nice about my art, don't say anything at all. Enjoy!

Food I ate today.

I ate this chicken dish in Chinatown the other day. It was so amazing I had to take a picture of it. Each piece of chicken was perfectly breaded. It came with white rice. I don't know why, but even the rice tasted good. LOL!

Iced Tea. I was trying to get a depth of field view. Almost got it, LOL! Hopefully by this time next year, I learn how to use the macro setting on my camera. The best way to figure it out is to post 300 or so more pictures. It's definitely a challenge, but I'm up to it!

Please share if you like:

More food I ate.

I call this photo "chicken pesto sandwich." I was stuffed!

Please share this with everyone:

I want this tattood on my ankle.

Catching up.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Pressing one button on my camera and uploading pictures of ordinary things is surprisingly hard! I'm making up for it by posting five pictures today! The one above is called "hairbrush." Notice the hairs in the brush.

And here's another kind of brush, LOL!

Latte.

Remote.

Beads. Did I say 5 photos? I found this on my hard drive and can't believe I forgot to upload it. This picture of beads needs to be shared with the world. And speaking of sharing, make sure to add me on Facebook! I've linked my Twitter account so if you're already following me on Twitter, you can see the same post twice, only I won't log into Facebook to acknowledge your comments. I'll also use Twitter syntax even though it doesn't belong on Facebook. #LOL #TwitterOnFacebook #HashtagJokes

Self portrait.

This is my first attempt at a self-portrait. That's not a fish-eye lense, my nose is really just that big! I'll have to experiment more in the future with getting the rest of my face in frame, but until then, I'll just upload all my fuckups.

This was a picture of an eyelash on my finger. I was about to make a wish, but the wind blew it away! I wasn't going to upload this since the objective of the photo is missing, but I went through the trouble of pressing a button on my camera, and I'm sure as shit not going to waste all that work.

Paper plate.

I wasn't feeling inspired today when I noticed these plates just sitting there on my kitchen counter and... LIGHTBULB! I took out my camera and snapped this beauty. Amazing.

Hipstamatic.

I downloaded a "Hipstamatic" app for my iPhone, and WOW! Everything I take a picture of automagically gets converted into stylized art, just like the pros! There's nothing like adding a weathered frame effect to hundreds of pictures snapped with my cellphone to compensate for talent, LOL! I love this filter so much, I'll take pictures of everything with it so that 100% of my photos are irreversibly modified from now on. Hope you guys like chromatic aberrations!

Back of some kid's head, or artificial retro art? I'm the bomb. Check out that border. Look familiar? That's because it's the same template applied to thousands of hipstamatic photos uploaded to Facebook every second!

Wow, even an unfocused mess of a picture like a foggy window looks like an amazing vintage photo with hipstamatic! This makes me so happy I'm gonna masturbate. Just kidding, I already did by starting this blog. LOL!!!

I quit my job.

I quit my job today. I don't really have any prospects, or enough experience to get a new job, but I'm hoping that this photo blog gets syndicated. To kick off my job hunt, I'm posting this picture of a manhole. I can't believe how amazing this turned out. People walk past found art like this every day and don't even realize it until someone with a keen eye like me comes along and snaps a photo of it slightly off center.

I'm on a roll! I call this "shopping cart." I took a picture of this at the grocery store today. Normally, not art, but turn on the "macro" setting, and BAM! Fuck you, Ansel Adams.

Alarm clock. Is it the weekend yet, LOL?

Altoid box. I saw this on my shelf and couldn't stop thinking about how amazing it would be for today's photo.
